At the origin of the concept : Damien LECLAIR, Founder and former Chairman of Armonys Technologies, a company specialised in software engineering for trading desks. A derivatives expert, Damien was particularly interested in products designed and commercialised by private banks and independent financial advisors. Very quickly he realised that with increased simplicity and transparency, structured products could become more attractive for investors. Convinced that the arrival of a new independent player could add value to this sector, he decided in 2007 to create EQUITIM.
